A Devastating Loss in Kalyan

In a heart-wrenching incident that has shocked the community, a 13-year-old boy from Kalyan, Maharashtra, took his own life on Sunday, allegedly due to relentless harassment by a teacher and some classmates. The young boy, identified as Vignesh Patro, was a student of Class 8 at a well-known school in Kalyan East.

The Incident

Vignesh was found hanging at his home in the Chikanipada area of Kalyan. His tragic decision to end his life occurred while his father was at work and his mother and sister were also away. The family returned to a locked house and upon gaining entry, discovered the devastating scene. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Vignesh was declared dead on arrival.

A Painful Suicide Note

A suicide note found at the scene revealed the depth of Vignesh's anguish. In the note, he expressed his suffering due to the actions of a school teacher and several classmates. The note also contained a heartbreaking message to his father, stating, "Papa, my departure will reduce your expenses. Don't be angry with your sister. I am committing suicide due to teasing by that teacher and boy."

Ongoing Investigation

The Kolshewadi police have registered a case and seized the suicide note as part of their investigation. The note has led the authorities to focus on the teacher and students named by Vignesh, as they seek to understand the circumstances that drove the young boy to such a tragic decision.
